Most asbestos containing materials are low risk and unlikely to release asbestos fibres. However there are some materials which are more dangerous and these are the ones that the asbestos legislation aims to tackle.

Our asbestos survey reports are designed with the lay-person in mind. So they are written in a clear format with clear recommendations and advice.
We have over ten years surveying experience throughout the UK of all types of properties from large industrial complexes, MOD facilities, council premises, shops, offices, hotels to houses and flats.
We are not contractors and have no interest in promoting expensive removal work and only advise removal as a last resort.
Since 2004, it has been a legal requirement for all “duty holders” of “non-domestic premises” to comply with The Control of Asbestos Regulations (as amended) (see the chart of premises for clarification of which premises are included).
The reason is for the legislation is simple – at least 3500 people in Great Britain die each year from mesothelioma and asbestos related lung cancer.
Annual numbers of deaths are predicted to go on rising well into the next decade.
Asbestosis doesn’t present symptoms for approximately 25 years, and up to 50 years for Mesothelioma.
Millions of tonnes of asbestos still remain unaccounted for in the UK today, and there is a growing concern for all exposed and in particular, those involved in building trades who may inadvertently disturb it. You have a duty to make sure your workplace is safe.
